The Finance & Governance Committee ensures the financial health and operational integrity of CREW Los Angeles. This committee oversees budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance, working closely with the Board to maintain transparency and fiscal responsibility. Additionally, it upholds governance best practices, ensuring that CREW Los Angeles operates in alignment with its bylaws and nonprofit regulations.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Reviewing monthly and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and transparency
Assisting in budget development and financial planning for the organization
Ensuring compliance with nonprofit regulations and financial best practices
Overseeing financial policies, including expense approvals and internal controls
Supporting audit preparation and ensuring tax filings are completed accurately and on time
Reviewing and recommending updates to governance documents, including bylaws and policies
Advising on risk management and financial sustainability strategies
Ensuring proper record-keeping and documentation for financial and governance matters
