Membership Retention Chair
Position Overview
The Membership Retention Chair serves as a member of the Membership Committee leadership team and collaborates with the Director of Membership to develop and implement strategies that foster an exceptional member experience.
The Chair provides leadership within the Retention Committee while helping cultivate an engaged and connected membership throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Director of Membership on annual member engagement and retention initiatives.
Provide a Retention update during each monthly Membership Committee meeting.
Collaborate in engaging and motivating the Retention Committee.
Coordinate New Member Orientation activities.
Coordinate Regional Rendezvous events in partnership with sponsors and committee volunteers.
Lead member communications, including post-event follow-up and engagement initiatives.
Support the Membership Ambassador program and other welcoming initiatives.
Encourage committee participation and volunteer engagement.
Recommend new ideas and initiatives that enhance the overall member experience.
Qualifications & Skills
Be a current CREW Los Angeles member in good standing.
Demonstrate enthusiasm for the CREW mission and member engagement.
Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Enjoy building relationships and fostering connections among members.
Be dependable and responsive.
Have an interest in developing leadership skills within the chapter.
**Previous committee or volunteer experience is preferred but not required.
Time Commitment
Attend monthly Membership Committee meetings.
Participate in periodic planning meetings with the Director of Membership.
Support chapter events and member engagement initiatives throughout the year.
Approximately 2–4 hours per month, with additional time around major events.
